The Pompona ProjectTM was created by Annette Renée Crymes, when the idea came to her while taking a university course in the Amazon jungle. Most indigenous people are unaware of the potential economic value of their crops. The Pompona Project is headed up by Crymes, who is currently pursuing her PhD at University College at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
The project is the subject of Mrs. Crymes’ doctoral thesis. Crymes received her undergraduate degree in accounting from Saint Louis University, a post-graduate Creative Writing Certificate from University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and her Masters in International Affairs at University College at Washington University.
